Body Scrubs Reviews

Scrubbing season is upon us, and thanks to the Bikini Club, I've been scrubbing quite frequently. :)

Because I can't use just one body scrub product (where's the fun in that?), I decided to try a few ones out, and report the results:

Sephora's own body scrub was a bit disappointing.

For the most money, about $16, I did not particularly like it.

While it smells refreshingly citrusy, it's way too runny for my taste. I don't feel much of a scrubbing effect when I use it.

Freeman's Pomegranate Body Scrub is a lot cheaper and thicker in consistency.

The two problems I have with it is that it's hard to squeeze out of the tube, and that as soon as it gets in contact with water it dissolves and I am left scrubbing air instead of sugar crystals.

I've read somewhere that if you turn off the water momentarily while you apply it, you get better results. I will try that next time (even though I am not a fan of turning off the water mid-shower).

Neutrogena's Energizing Sugar Body Scrub could have been the perfect scrub, as it's easy to grab out of the jar, it has the right consistency and it actually works better with water (it turns soapy), and it smells great.

Problem is it leaves a greasy residue on your skin. :(

While I am stuck with these guys for now, I will keep looking for something better.

Which body scrub do you use?

I use Body Shop scrub, but I'm not loving it so much. I'm looking for other scrubs too. I've always like Neutrogena products, though.

I like Spice Odyssey™ Foaming body rub from Origins. I like that a little goes a long way, it scrubs until you rinse (doesn't dissolve) and has a nice scent. The packaging can be awkward to handle in the shower.
