DIET:
Ok, ok... I'll come out and say it... this week was hard.

It was hard to maintain the resolve, and on Saturday, at a restaurant, I definitely ate more than I should have. And anybody looking from the outside, must have thought I hadn't seen food in months!

The worst part of it all was that I was sooo happy to sink my teeth into a delicious corn on the cob. While dipping crisp chicken in Ranch dressing. And drinking Coke. Oh yeah, there were fries, too.

I am not going to lie, it was good. See, I am not a health nut, nor do I enjoy the thought of eating only healthy foods all the time.

The trick for me is to find the right balance. Eat well most of the time, then treat myself every so often. Because I had that horribly delicious meal, I am now able to look at the week ahead with renewed resolve. What happened Saturday didn't hurt my dieting, it actually helped it.

The diet plan this week doesn't change. Keep watching your calories, eat healthier, drink water, snack, and take your vitamins and supplements.

EXERCISE:
We need to continue working on the whole body, while we also target arms, legs, chest and abs. You need great legs, toned arms, flat abs and a strong chest to look good in a bikini. So look at yourself, and start focusing more on the areas that need it the most. I have been looking at myself, and that's why we now have a "target chest" day!

BEAUTY:
Ah, luckily there is a beauty section! If it was just diet and exercise, this program could almost look like too much work! ;)

We haven't had a nice foot scrub in a while... and it's definitely time to have constantly sandals-ready feet, even before than a bikini-ready body.

On Wednesday how about a nice honey mask? JustLo was asking about a good relaxing mask, and instead of sending her to buy one, we can all try a natural one.

1. Wash your face with a cleanser.
2. Exfoliate with honey + sugar (mix a tablespoon of honey with sugar and scrub face)
3. Rinse with warm water.
4. Dip wet warm fingers in a small bowl that has just runny honey in it.
5. Spread honey all over face and neck.
6. Wait 15-20 minutes.
7. Rinse with cold water.

Let me know if you enjoyed it. :)

I haven't been exercising for a while and I can't tell you how much I'm disgusted with myself. But now I'm back to exercising.

I just did some leg squats with Kathy Smith and I thought I couldn't do it at first but I finished the exercise feeling proud of myself.

My legs and butt (buns?) are my problem areas, so that's what I will be targeting the next months.

Restricting yourself and not allowing for anything 'enjoyable' is a surefire way to fail a diet! Good job so far :)

Good job getting back on track, Spender! Everything in moderation - a couple of fries won't hurt ;-)

I'm on vacation, still sick, so will not stress my body out with exercise until I am better. But will continue with the beautyworks and will continue to eat sensibly (for someone who is on vacation!) Breakfast was non-fat Greek yogurt, sliced fresh strawberries and banana, along with a piece of whole grain toast. Hardly depriving myself!

Here's a great free website that I found: www.sparklepeople.com

It's like MyFoodDiary.com, but free!

I was doing great all last week, then caved on Saturday night and ate 5 peanut butter girl scout cookies! Yikes. But other than that eating well and back into exercising.

I couldn't wait, and tried the face mask last night. I was a little uncertain about putting honey all over my face, but it ended up nice and smooth. Very enjoyable.
