The prices are a bit high for me, but I have a gift certificate from Bloomingdale's that will cover the cost, so maybe that's the reason why I'm looking at them now.
Maybe I always wanted one of these wrap dresses, but somehow I convinced myself that I didn't, and the reason why I did that was probably because I knew that the price was too high for me.
What would you do? What would you spend $500 on at Bloomingdale's???

Hi Spender,
Daisy back from the sea. I went on a cruise and it was fabulous. Pampered and spoiled for a week. Woke up this morning wondering why breakfast was not prepared for me. It's gonna take some re adjusting back to reality. Mexico was what I expected, beautiful and vibrant. The colors bold. I over indulged in turqoise jewelry, my favorite. However, I know the same gorgeous pieces would cost 5x as much in the U.S. Good enough justication.
As for the wrap dress, $500 is too steep for me. You know far better than I how to buy a similar dress for alot less. They are cute though.
Daisy
Glad you're back and you had a good time. :)
I am new to your blog (via NY Mag)so I don't know your spending habits very well, BUT DO NOT Spend more than $200 on a DVF wrap and I will tell you why....
they ALWAYS go on sale. I have bought all of mine during the Neiman Marcus last call sale events or even from Last Call. So wait. If I had $500 at bloomies I would buy 2 of 3 things....a pair of great flats for $250 / knee high boots either flat or heel for the remaining $250 / a leather bomber jacket in grey leather. My 2 Cents. Good Luck!
