New Year's Resolutions 2011

Here we go again, let's make some resolutions, but let's try to keep them (making them is easy!), yes???

My main resolution is to take better care of myself, from starting a vitamin regime that I will stick to, to finding a little time to pamper myself again, and (as per doctor's orders) to finding some time to exercise! I have to say that between having a baby and passing the 35 years old mark, everything changes for the worse.  :(

Oh, and one more thing, very much fashion related... I need to figure out my look! Me, the NY Spender, the one that always knows what everyone else should and shouldn't wear! I have no idea where I stand anymore...

See, I am about past my mid-thirties and I am a mother, yet I don't want to wear mid-thirties mom's clothes. But I don't see myself in hippie twenties' clothes anymore, either. It's a fine line the one I'm walking, because before I know it I could be wearing mom's jeans and not even know it. I've already cut my hair SHORT and it wasn't even my choice (hair was just falling off left and right).

Maybe none of it it's our choice. Maybe we just grow old and with that our brain grows old, and our sense of style starts to rust and... no way! Not happening here! We can't have that...

So one last resolution is to try and figure out the best look for my age, that will never embarrass my daughter and that will still make me feel cool and stylish.

And to keep this resolution, I will make a promise of a once a week post about this new look of mine, even if it's just inspiring pictures.

What about you? What are your resolutions?

I'm not big on resolutions because I usually stick to something better if I just do it rather than "on this day, I will start...." but I WILL be starting prenatal yoga again after the new year. December was just too busy to commit so I gave myself a break. ;P

Did you post pics when you cut your hair short? I missed that!

I'm looking forward to your posts on your style...I'm in my early 30s and in that weird self-imposed twilight zone where I'm trying not to look like a "MOM" but it's just too dang comfy to dress casual. Soon I'll be doing the frequent breastfeeding again too, and I always succomb to what's easily accesible over fashion. ;)

I intent to pamper myself after radiation treatments are finally over in 3 weeks. I want to go on a long cruise. (Did I forget to mention I have to get the cancer free certificate before I can go anymore?) My father already agreed to take care of Lily Belle for me.

Whoa Spender! Don't put too much pressure on yourself. You have a natural sense of style so play with it and have fun. Fashion is about fun and expressing oneself regardless of age.

Oh Megan!!! I had to run to fb to check... congratulations!!! Yay! Momma again! Perfect timing! Us, on the other hand, might just stop at one (I'm still debating over it, but sometimes I feel like we're too old. lol really). Keep us posted. :)

As for my haircut, nope, I have not posted pics yet, I'm not too crazy about the style (the cut is nice, I just hate short hair). I will post something as soon as I get a nice picture of myself (harder and harder to come by these days).

Take good care of yourself!

Daisy, I wish I could go on the cruise with you, I've never been on one. I feel, though, that if we are ever to go on one, it's going to be the Disney cruise. I hope and pray you get that cfc (cancer-free-certificate) asap!
