Brad Pitt for Chanel No.5

As you have probably seen on TV, Brad Pitt is the new face of Chanel No.5. I've been a Brad Pitt fan for years. Until I got a little tired of him.

What's different about this collaboration is the fact that Brad is the first male to become a spokeperson for Chanel No.5.

Other than the fact that they have Photoshopped most of his wrinkles away, I can't stop thinking about Angelina whenever I see the commercials: I wonder if she would have wanted this job, and if she is a bit jealous of him.

Overall, while I still think he's very handsome, I just don't get this pairing. It doesn't convince me. It's too far fetched (It was probably something on Karl Lagerfeld's bucket list. ;)

I agree! Every time I see this ad I shake my head. I don't get the connection - plus he babbles! None of it has anything to do with the perfume - or lifestyle evoked by the scent.

Everyone here is probably too young - but I still see Catherine Deneuve as the face of Chanel No. 5. It's always been one of my favorite scents.

Hi Maria!
Yes, me too, I watch and I cringe. And the more I look around the web, the more I see people poking fun at it, too.
I bet you they won't renew his contract... ;)

Also - you have to see the SNL spoof on the BP Chanel ads - hysterical!

Chanel No. 5 is my favorite perfume. I think the knowledge that Marilyn favored it influenced me. I do find it a novel/refreshing idea to have a man promoting it. I'm not sure about Brad Pitt pitching it. How about George Clooney being a male spokesman for No. 5. Please do not air brush out the lines and wrinkles on the face, they add character to the face.
